Colorado Trip - Day 1

I'm back from a nice road trip to Colorado (not for that reason - I'm a good boy).  Here's how it went:

Packed this morning.  Hoping the rusted toilet bolt we didn't fix before we left doesn't cause a flood - couldn't turn the shut-off valve all the way off.  (spoiler alert - it didn't).

Left the house at 10am.  Made a quick stop for gas then we were on our way.  10718 miles on the odometer.  Tonight's destination:  Salina, KS.

11:45am - stopped in Ardmore, OK for lunch at Arby's.  Had a turkey club and swiss hold the mayo.  Proud of myself for eating the tomatoes, which I don't like.  Also had curly fries and green-tea peach tea.

3:00pm - stopped in Blackwell, OK for bathroom, gasoline and circus peanuts.

3:20pm - crossed over into Kansas

5:30pm - Arrived at the Holiday Inn Express in Salina, KS.  We stayed here on the way back from South Dakota last year and it was nice enough for a one-night stay.  They've installed a bank of Tesla charging stations since then, which largely seemed to be going to waste.
Not a Tesla in sight
After we checked in and had a free M&M cookie, we drove to Logan's Roadhouse for dinner.  I had a salad with bleu cheese dressing, a New York strip steak cooked medium, and a baked potato with butter and sour cream.  After dinner, we stopped at Target for some nail clippers (could we be any more exciting?), then back to the hotel for the night.
